Creepy Crawlies invade Room 1

Look at the visitors we had in our class on Friday…..very creepy!  The children did some brainstorming about what they could see and then followed it up with some observational drawings.

At the fun run it was a sunny day and I came first in room 1 and in the whole entire school I came 18th.

Cricket Recount with Tama

Today Tama came in to teach some basic cricket skills.  We had a lot of fun and used the experience for our writing.

Today we played cricket with Tama.  We played games and we hit the ball too.  I loved it and Tama was nice and we had a super time.  It was at the school and he practised with us.

Sophies Independent Writing

Sophie is working hard on her writing and together we are looking at adding more detail which she has began to do by answering some questions about this piece.

It currently reads:

Once there was a princess and a prince and their dog.  Their parents the queen and king were very nice but they died when the prince and princess were young.  An old lady called Mother Gothill kidnapped the princess and the prince.  But one day they ran away and went back home and lived happily every after.

Fun Run Fun!

Last Wednesday was the schools annual fun run and what a beautiful day it was too.  A fantastic effort from all the children and well done to Dustin and Kate (first boy and girl across the line for room 1 who completed the full run!)  Big thanks to the parents who cane along to support us as well!

Playcentre Visit

We had a visit last Wednesday from the children, parents and caregivers from St Leonards Playcentre.  Storytime and a fun play date later and lots of happy children can't wait to do it all again.  Thanks Rahbeka Palmer for organising it!
